The Chamberlain House and Riverside: A History

Perched high above the Croton River, the Chamberlain House represents one of the finest examples of nineteenth century Second Empire architecture in Croton Falls and in Northern Westchester as a whole. Dating to sometime between 1840 and 1860, it is the oldest structure in the Juengstville neighborhood to which it belongs and distills the Gilded Age extravagance that characterized life in the hamlet after the introduction of the railroad.
